Phyllis Petty
I always loved and respected my father in law and knew that he would give me unbiased opinions if I needed advice. I loved to listen to his stories and jokes and thought it was neat that if you indicated you enjoyed a story, he would happily tell it again. His life changed when his wife of 64 years passed away in 2010 and he had to relocate to another home in a different community just a few months later. Even though he had his daughter and grandson living with him, I know he was lonely and depressed. His companion was a Jack Russell terrier named Casey who I am sure is sad and lonely now. Papaw, as our sons called him, was good at spoiling animals and people with his generosity and love. We will surely miss him Phyllis (John’s wife)
