This First Lady of Hospitality helped pioneer the travel industry as we know it in Louisiana. What a great life spent developing others! Forever grateful for the life lived by Louise Wheeler! One of my best mentors and friends! Louise Wheeler taught me so much about being an “innkeeper”, a leader, a friend, and delivering the difference in hospitality. I am so glad that I was able to speak with her so many times over the last year and thank her repeatedly for her investment into my life both professionally & personally. We laughed and cried together during these calls during the COVID. She opened up to me as a friend and shared so many life lessons with me. I would hang up in tears just being grateful to have the privilege of knowing such a incredible lady. In the words of Mrs. Wheeler, “we just need to keep calm and move on.” Love you sweet lady. Thank you for investing in this ADHD kid who didn’t know his self worth until you showed me!
Lou was such a true "southern lady". She was kind and and generous to all whom she met. She truly cared for people and always had a kind word. I will truly miss conversations with Lou and listening to her beautiful southern voice. Rest in peace sweet lady. Love, Linda
Louise was a gracious lady who I had the pleasure of knowing through the American Business Women's Assn here in Thibodaux LA.
