Louise Deans Pritchard's Obituary
LOUISE DEANS PRITCHARD died March 22, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her second husband Fred Deans, her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Leslie Dye Sr. and her brother, John Leslie Dye, Jr. Survivors include her present husband Ross J. Pritchard, her son, Donald Brown of Tunica County, MS, her sister Faye Turley (John Turley) of Coldwater, MS, step-daughters, Irene Pritchard and Fereshteh Richard, stepsons Micheal Pritchard, Vol Pritchard and Mehran Pritchard, all of Fayetteville, AR and stepson, Ross Pritchard Jr. of San Diego, CA. She attended classes at Rhodes College and Memphis State. Her first career as a travel planner was with Thomas Cooks and Son. She traveled the world and enjoyed a certain amount of success as a lecturer. In later years she co-owned and operated the art and crafts shop Great E xpectations. She is a communicant of St. George’s Episcopal Church and was an integral part in the operation of the St. George’s Book Shoppe. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 26 at 4 p.m. at St. Georges Episcopal Church in Germantown. Memorials can be made to the Memphis Humane Society or charity of the donor’s choice.
