Louise Williams Olszewski's Obituary
Louise Williams Olszewski passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. She passed away at her home in Germantown, Tennessee after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. Louise was a loving wife, friend and animal lover (she not only rescued cats and dogs, but every fly, spider and bug found in the house). She is survived by her husband, David Olszewski, her two cats, Inky and Nikita and sister Jeannie Taylor Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Dorothy Williams.
She grew up in Memphis and attended Messick High School and Memphis State University. She worked in the insurance business her entire career, most notably as Vice President at the Crow-Friedman Group. Everyone will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love for life, family, friends and animals as well as the many colleagues and clients she worked with during her years in the insurance industry. Louise was a dear friend to many and strived to be a friend to all. She just loved to exercise, from her aerobic days at “the Q” to the Pilates, Yoga and water aerobics at the Germantown Athletic Club. She enjoyed her evenings out with the GNO (girls night out) group, as well as almost 40 years dining with their friends in the “Gourmet Group” that she and David belonged to.
She had the patience of an angel attending David’s Christian Brothers College events, and other get togethers of alumni, while knowing no one. She attended way more concerts and sporting events than she preferred …. out of true love to David.
Louise was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed and will always be cherished. She made a difference in the lives of many. The world will be a little duller without her bright smile and giving heart. She was the BEST wife ever. Heaven got a little brighter now that she is there.
We invite you to join us and celebrate together. The visitation will be on Saturday, December 18 at 9:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery at 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN, (901) 767-8930
