Louise Anderson Hardin's Obituary
Louise Anderson Hardin, 88, passed away March 18, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton E. Hardin. She is survived by three children: Barry Hardin of Memphis, Kent Hardin of Memphis and David Hardin of Hernando, MS and a grandson Brian Hardin of Batesville, AR. She was married during WWII while her husband was in the US Air Force. After the war they settled in Memphis to live and raise a family where they were involved with the wholesale food business Hardin’s Inc. which later became Hardin’s Sysco. She was active in and volunteered for several charitable and civic organizations including the Brooks Art Gallery League and the Salvation Army Auxiliary among others. She was something of an artist herself creating many pieces of ceramic art and some paintings. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or Brooks Art Gallery.
