Louise Floyd's Obituary
DOROTHY LOUISE FRAZIER FLOYD, 92, of Bartlett, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, January 30th, 2014 at home. She is survived by her two children, Cathy Louise Floyd Williamson and Forrest Dave Floyd, both of Bartlett, Tennessee. Her grandchildren, Jennifer Williamson Miller, Dana Floyd, Gene Williamson, all of Memphis, Tennessee, and Cody and Jessie Floyd of Columbus, Ohio. Her great-grandchildren, Joshua Wilson, Brooke Williamson, Taylor Webb, and Adia Miller; her great-great grandchildren Connor and Chloe Wilson all of Memphis, Tennessee. Her sister, Doris Zseleczky of Annapolis, Maryland, sister-in-law Maryann Frazier of Navarre, Florida along with many nieces and nephews and in-laws. She was deeply loved, admired and respected by all. A life time active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir, worked on the altar guild and was a regular at the Wednesday Bible Study Group. She retired from Williams Oil Company where she was a valuable employee and supervisor in the accounting department. Her passion was golf and she played long into her 80’s, returning each year to Williams Golf Tournament at their request. She has been described by friends and family as “jeopardy smart”, a saint with a special place in heaven, and a real southern lady. She was the head of the family for many years due to the early passing of her loving husband, Harry Alexander Floyd, and she led with a kind heart, compassion and understanding. She leaves a legacy of unconditional love which she lived every day of her glorious life. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 Monday evening February 3rd, and funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, February 4th all at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 3745 Kimball Ave, Memphis, Tennessee. The family requests memorials be sent to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
