Louis F. Sammarco's Obituary
Louis F. Sammarco, 84, of Germantown passed away April 8, 2012. He was born in Fort Lee, NJ on October 31, 1927 to Louis and Stefanina Sammarco, who were Italian immigrants. Mr. Sammarco was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and after his discharge he graduated from Coyne Electrical School. He later earned his Master Electrician License, opened his own business Sammarco Electric Co. in 1969 in Memphis and invented the bottle cap umbrella, which he has a patent on. Mr. Sammarco attended First Assembly of God Church for forty five years and was currently a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. He leaves his loving wife, Fannie; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Bob Bay; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Bonita; grandchildren, Grace Sammarco, Christie Mayhue; great grandchildren, Logan and Kaylee; brothers, Mario and Rudolph Sammarco; and sister, Joan Casper. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until service time at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. “Behind the Stone Wall.” The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital-Memphis.
