Louis Peel's Obituary
Louis Leroy Peel, 95, died at his home on June 28, 2015 after a bout with cancer. He was born July 7, 1919 in Shelby County, TN and was one of nine children. He is survived by two brothers, Charles Peel of Memphis, Tn and Earl Peel of Salt Lake City, UT, five sisters, twins, Martha Seigler, Mary Grosgean, Ruth Bryan, Donna Eskew and Inez Armour. His youngest brother tragically died in a plane crash in the Mid-South Army Reserve in the Memphis area in the 1970’s. Loius leaves his wife, Doris Reed Peel, son, Dr. Presley Reed (Stacey) of Boulder, CO., and three grandchildren, Kathlyn Reed, Meridith Reed, and Presley Reed III, all of Boulder, CO., and many nieces and nephews. Louis spent five years in the Army in WWII, after which he had a career with the US Postal Service. He was a Faithful member of Open Door Bible Church as long as his health permitted. Mr. Peel was also a past Master of the Oakville Masonic Lodge. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30 from 5:00-7:00PM. The funeral service will be Wednesday, July 1 at 2:30PM. All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
