Louis D. Hamric's Obituary
Louis D Hamric II was born December 7 1948 in Memphis, TN and passed away peacefully on January 19 2016. He is survived by his partner of 23 years, Steve Masterson, his son Louis D Hamric III of Memphis, his son Charles Hamric and fiance Christen DeNicholas Of New Orleans, his mother Rubye J Norvell of Olive Branch, Ms, and his brother Gilbert Harding of Athens, Al. As an Attorney and entrepreneur, Louis’ work was a labor of love in which he felt he had never really worked a day in his life. He attended Bell Buckle, TN at Webb School, remaining active there as a board member and strong supporter. He earned a Juris Doctor at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. Louis was never the type to sit still. He was vibrant, magnetic, genuine, and full of life. He traveled the world many times over, yet always found time to be with his friends and family. It didn’t matter if you were a head of state or a shoe shiner, he treated everyone with the same kindness, generosity, and respect. Louis was an accomplished pianist, performing regularly at Le Bonheur Fed Ex House. As a devoted patron of the arts, he frequently attend symphony, ballet and theater performances. He was the kind of person who kept you laughing late into the night, and the next morning while the rest of us slept in, he was up blazing his unforgettable trail through life. In his company, it was easy to believe that in life, all things are possible. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 23 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery….”Celebrating Life…..Behind the Stone Wall”.
