Lou Ellen Anders' Obituary
Mrs. Lou Ellen Anders passed away on May 18, 2022. Lou was a resident of Kirby Pines Retirement Community, and was born on June 21, 1918, in Searcy, AR.
"Aunt Lou," as she was affectionately called by many, was a long-time active member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
She stayed active with her crafts: painting, ceramics and woodworking, and was a repair whiz who could fix anything. She also loved playing cards and socializing with her friends, and could often be seen motoring down the hallways of Kirby Pines in her power chair.
Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Prince Bradbery and Minnie Watson Bradbery; her husband, Paul Anders; her sisters, Irma Brannum, Olga Catanzaro and Jane Tompkins; and a brother, Carthel Bradbery.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Bradbery, and by a host of nieces, nephews and caregivers for whom she cared dearly. She will be sorely missed.
The visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Memphis Humane Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
