Lorraine Evans' Obituary
Lorraine P. Evans, 89, of Memphis passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital-Memphis. She was born in Slate Springs, MS on July 1, 1923. Mrs. Evans was retired from Sears & Roebuck Co, a member of Audubon Park Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe S. Evans; brother, Wayne Putman; sisters, Nell Tatum and Laverne Duncan; and is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jackson and her husband Wayne of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, Michelle Wamble and her husband Michael of Germantown, TN and Lt. Col. Jon Scott Jackson of Arlington, VA; and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
