Lorena E. Tunstill's Obituary
Lorena E. Tunstill, 88, of Memphis died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Wesley Highland Manor. Mrs. Tunstill was a Presbyterian.She retired after over 43 years as Vice President of National Bank of Commerce. She was a graduate of Central High School, and Graduated in the class of 1942 from Mississippi State College for Women. She served on the National Board of Hemophilia Foundation. She also served as past President of the Downtown Memphis Auxiliary Unit, and on the Board of Director’s Downtown Council. She was an antique dealer and auction buff.Mrs. Tunstill was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack W. Tunstill. She is survived by her son, Jack W. Tunstill, II, and his wife, Virginia, of Seminole, FL, her daughter, Lynn Garner of Memphis, 2 grandsons, a sister-in-law, Nickii Elrod, a niece, Paige Laws, and two great nieces, all of Mississippi. A visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 8. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 1:00 pm in the Riverside Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
