Lola Wayne Coley Jameson's Obituary
Lola Wayne Coley Jameson, 95, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away at her home on November 12, 2010. Visitation will be Sunday, November 14 from 5-8 p.m. and funeral services will be held Monday, November 15 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie “Frank” Jameson, Sr., her parents, two brothers, and sister. She is survived by daughters Cheryl J. Gibson (Gene) and Debra J. Benjamin (Joe); sons, Willie F. Jameson, Jr. (MaryAnn) and Gary A. Jameson; grandchildren, W. Frank Jameson, III, Cynthia Tankersley, Gregory Jameson, Wesley Benjamin, Brett Jameson, Heather King, Richard Jameson, and Shane Gibson; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Pattie Stahlendorf. She was born in Ripley, MS and graduated Falkner High School as Valedictorian. Lola was an active member of Eudora Baptist Church joining in 1958. In 1992, she was honored for teaching adult Sunday school for more than 25 years. She was very strong in her faith. As President of the WMU in 1964, she accomplished the largest enrollment to date. She was a Brownie Scout leader and served as President of the PTA in Memphis City Schools. She was a member of the Eastern Star Raleigh Summer Chapter #313. She loved caring for her family, working in the yard, wearing pretty clothes, smiling, and lunching with her dog, and companion Buffy. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and caregiver, Louise Oaks. God bless her and may she rest in peace knowing how much she was loved.
