Lois Schwamm's Obituary
Lois Claire Schwamm, 90, of Memphis, passed away at her home on January 2, 2011. Miss Schwamm was born on July 4, 1920. She was a graduate of University of Tennessee and received her law degree from the University of Memphis. She was a retired Memphis City School teacher. Before retirement she taught at Germantown High School and Central High School. Miss Schwamm was a member of the Brooks League. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Otto Schwamm and Lois Elizabeth Sawyer Schwamm, and her siblings Ann Schwamm and Edward Otto Schwamm, Jr. She is survived by her uncle Richard L. Schwam, two cousins who were very close to her, Elizabeth Nichols Griffin and Norma Schwam Miles. The family would like to thank Helen Willis for her great care of Miss Schwamm. The family had a private service as requested by Miss Schwamm at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be submitted to the charity of the donor’s choice.
