Dr. L.J. Davidson's Obituary
L.J. Davidson D.D.S, 92, of Germantown, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Dr. Davidson was born October 14, 1918 to Ben and Lela Davidson. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Arno, Edsel, and Pank, and one sister Mary Elizabeth. Dr. Davidson was a Captain in the Army Air Corps and was recommended for the Distinguished Flying Cross for flying 143 missions and 496 flying hours as a B-25 bomber pilot. After he graduated from U.T. College of Dentistry he opened his office in Frayser. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Largent Davidson, his son, Dr. Don Davidson, and daughter, Kris Davidson O’Kelly, and one granddaughter, Reese Faye Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. also on Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family ask please not to send flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
