Linda Gail Sargent Walters' Obituary
Linda Gail Sargent Walters, 80 of Germantown, TN passed away on May 12, 2021. Gail was born on October 23, 1940 in Memphis, TX to Willie Clark Sargent and Vera Pearl McGowan Sargent.
She was a long- time teacher, first in Texas, then many years with the Emmanuel United Methodist Church Kindergarten. She also loved her role as Children’s Coordinator at Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Kirk Walters; son, Jeff (Melanie Lynn) Walters; grandchildren, Rachel Caroline Walters, Chance Logan Walters, Jeffrey Walters, Jr., and Daniel Walters; brothers, Don (Emma Kay) Sargent and Tom (Sherri) Sargent.
Gail was preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie D. Walters, and parents, Willie Clark Sargent and Vera Pearl McGowan Sargent.
Gail had been a resident of Gardens of Germantown Memory Care for almost three years. The family is very appreciative of the loving care the staff had given her during her time there.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Memorial Park.
