Linda Lee Carr's Obituary
Linda Lee Carr (Weston), 80, of Memphis, Tennessee, received her heavenly reward on December 7, 2023. After many years of declining health, in which she fought every battle, she is now at rest. She was born on June 15, 1943, in Holcomb, Missouri, to Lyda Sanders and Joyce Weston. Linda was a loyal and loving individual, known for her dedication to her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Teresa Washington (Ronnie), her granddaughter, Ashley Gault (Dustin), and her grandson, Tyler Washington (Holly). She is also survived by her sisters, Kaye Weston and Elaine Anglin (Jim). She was blessed with five great grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Lyda Sanders, and her father, Joyce Weston.
Linda attended Treadwell High School and later built a successful career at General Electric Memphis Lamp Plant, where she retired. She continued to stay busy after retirement at Schnuck's, and Kroger. In her free time, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and solving crossword puzzles.
A graveside memorial service for Linda will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 10;00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that was close to Linda's heart.
