Lillie M. Flores' Obituary
Lillie Moore Flores, 103, born February 11, 1909 and died October 11, 2012. A proud patriot and WWII Veteran who achieved the rank of lieutenant, she retired after 23 years from Civil Service to live in Memphis. A strong, independent woman of deep faith with a tender heart, Aunt Lillie always had a smile and words of encouragement for all who met her. She was a woman of charity and supported a variety of causes, especially for needy children. A longtime member of Independent Presbyterian Church, she is survived by her loving nephews John “Bucky” Philip (Georgia), Tom Moore (LuAnn) of Kingsport, TN; and niece Ann McGaha (George); great-niece, Audrey Capra (Chaz)of Montgomery, AL; and many other loving nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Schilling Gardens Assisted Living for their tender care. Visitation will be at 9:15 am on Saturday October 13th with services to follow at 10:00 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family request memorial donations be sent to Idependent Presbyterian Church or St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
