Lillie Chandler's Obituary
Lillie Chandler, 87, died on April 12, 2010 at Baptist Desoto Hospital. Mrs. Chandler was a personal caregiver for over 40 years, retiring after her 82nd birthday. She loved collecting antiques and was a “mother to all”. She attended Holly St. Church of Christ where she was a faithful teacher. She would be quick to say that, “Jesus was her best friend”. She enjoyed travelling and went thru Europe 8 times. Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Roy Evans Chandler. She is also preceded by her son, Alan Chandler, and two brothers Fred Craig and Ross Harris. She is survived by her 5 children, Wilber Chandler of Thousand Oaks, CA; Barbara Robinson of Olive Branch, MS; Patricia Williams of Fresno, CA; Rick Chandler of Fontana, CA; and Sunday Chandler-Wafer of Atlanta, GA; her 3 sisters, Annie Sweet and Ora Ward both of Wichita, KS; and Thelma Tyke of Tulsa, OK; and two brothers, John Craig of Madera, CA; and Arthur Craig of Bakersfield, CA; her grandchildren, Alan Chandler, Jr.; Anissa Jones, Michael Robinson, Nichelle Williams Brian Chandler, Stacey Mohair, Taneesha Kinchen, Brandi Graves, London Graves, Chavon Wafer, Iquanette Wafer, Elijah Wafer, Isaiah Wafer; and great grand children, Nathaniel Robinson, Tiffany Robinson, Sierra Mohair, Alaura Mohair, Branden Powell, and Nevaeh Jones. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Burial will take place in Fresno, CA at a later date.
