Lillian Wilcox Wiggins' Obituary
Lillian Wilcox Wiggins, 88, passed away April 30, 2012. She was born April 16, 1924. During WWII Lillian was secretary to the commanding general at the Army Airforce base at Warner Robbins, Georgia, where she met her husband-to-be, Albert J. Wilcox. She was president of the PTA in Copley, Ohio while her sons were attending school. Following Al’s death, she was married to M.L. (Les) Wiggins until his death in 1995. She was an active member of Woodland Presbyterian Church until she was physically unable to continue. She is survived by two sons, Jay C. Wilcox and wife Barbara of Westerville, Ohio, and Wayne A. Wilcox of Memphis. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Geoffrey Wilcox and wife Laura; Jennifer Wilcox Beale and husband Doug; all of Columbus, Ohio; Lillian and Audrey Wilcox of Memphis, Tennessee; and three great grandchildren: Asher Wilcox, Lila Beale, and Miles Beale of Columbus, Ohio. She lived a long and fulfilling life and will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions in her name to the charity of their choice.
