Lillian was born in Wynne, Arkansas on February 12,1927. She was a former Memphian, dedicated to improving our community on a daily basis.
She married Brooks McCuller in November 1947, and raised four daughters. As a young mother, she started the Civic Self Improvement Club to teach her daughters and their friends proper manners, good posture, social skills, and self confidence. Lillian was very talented, personable, and creative. She was an excellent journalist, editor, and realtor while living in Memphis. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was instrumental in the ground breaking of the Memphis Athletic Club, Memphians for Patriotism, with Mayor Henry Loeb, and electing Winfield Dunn, the first Republican governor of Tennessee in fifty years. She served as the president of the Republican Women for Shelby County excelling in her leadership ability.
She was extremely devoted to her family, teaching her daughters how to love unconditionally. She enjoyed life to the fullest and retained her infectious sense of humor never failing to entertain.
