Lillian Louise Lawless Lee, 105, passed Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
Louise lived all her 105 years here in Memphis, TN. She was a devoted wife to Walter H. Lee.
For many years, Louise was very involved with her church, Holy Rosary. She gave back to her faith by volunteering as a church secretary. Louise enjoyed serving others and her community by volunteering at St. Francis Hospital for 25 years. She was very proud of her father-in-law who was Memphis Police Chief Will D. Lee. Louise also loved her Scottish Terriers & all her grand-puppies. She was a true example of having a servant’s heart and being kind to everyone.
She is predeceased by her husband, Walter Hobbs Lee. She is survived by her son, Walter Hobbs Lee, Jr. (Monica Mallini) of Alexandria, VA, and predeceased by her daughter Laurie Lee Burnes (Hilton Jonas Burnes) of Germantown, TN. Louise had 4 grandchildren: Wyatt Lee (Elizabeth Lee) from Ruxton, MD; Katherine Lee from Rockville, MD; Brooke Burnes Stover (Luke Stover) from Germantown TN; Whitney Lee Burnes (Dustin Geer) from Memphis, TN. Louise was blessed with 8 great-grandchildren: Caroline Blake Lee & Julia Louise Lee of Ruxton, MD. Schaefer Elizabeth Tillie, Camryn Kristian Tillie, Preston Luke Stover, Harlee Caroline Stover, Maci Amelia Stover, & Olivia Brooke Stover of Germantown, TN.
We will miss her infectious smile and kind heart. Her deep devotion to her family and faith set an example for us all. May we all remember to live like Louise. “I love you every day, not just one day.”
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
