Lila McCaslin Trout's Obituary
Lila McCaslin Trout, born December 21, 1919, died November 8, in Cordova. She was a graduate of Messick High School and attended Memphis State. An active homemaker, she also worked as administrative assistant at Bethel Grove Elementary School, Emory University, and University of South Florida. She was a member of the former Lamar Heights Baptist Church where she served as Nursery Coordinator, choir member, and youth teacher. She was preceded in death by husband, James J. Trout, sister Doris McCaslin, and parents Della and Sherrill McCaslin. She leaves daughters Cecelia Caldwell and Susan Stevens, grandchildren Heather Caldwell, Jennifer Maynard, Michael Stevens, Audrey Stevens, and 7 great- grandchildren. Memorial Park Funeral Home arrangements: gathering for visitation and remembrance on December 3, 10:30 – 12:00, in the parlor at First Baptist Church where she was a member. Burial will be at Memorial Park South Woods at 1:30 pm.
