Lewis Edward Gross' Obituary
Lewis Edward Gross of Arlington, Tennessee passed away on June 3, 2026.
He was born on October 24, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Grover Samuel Gross and Jewell Maury Hill Gross.
Lewis graduated from Treadwell High School on May 31, 1957, and began a career shortly thereafter with National Trust Life, where he worked until 1968. He later became an independent insurance agent, specializing in TSA plans and life insurance, continuing in this profession until retiring in 2020. In addition to a long and dedicated career, he also found great enjoyment in spending his time golfing, bowling, walking, and biking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Linda, a son Matthew L. Gross and his brother, Randy Gross and sister, Sammie McCord.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly G. Herod (Lester), Amber J. Thomas (Anthony); sons, Mark G. Jones, Kent Gross and Jeffrey B. Jones; grandchildren, David A. Gross (Yurina), Nicole Noble (Sam), Ryan Herod (Brittany), Amber R. Cooper, Jason Gross, Natalie Wolford (Dustin) and Kendall Jones (Jazlyn). Also leaves behind numerous great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 1:00pm in the Rotunda at Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive family and friends for visitation 30 minutes prior to the services beginning at 12:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
