Leslie Price's Obituary
Leslie “Gaye” (Bennett) Price of Saint Petersburg, Florida and longtime resident of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away at the age of 68, on July 1st, 2025 at home with family.
Gaye was born the youngest of three sisters, on August 14th, 1956, to Shirley Gentry Bennett and Frank Leslie Bennett in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduation from Germantown High School, Gaye entered the workforce, and in 1977 began her long and dedicated career with Wenco Franchise Management. When Wenco was acquired by Valenti Management in 2001, she transitioned into the role of Real Estate and Development Office Coordinator, where she remained until her retirement in the spring of 2016. Her years at work were marked not only by professional dedication but also by the treasured friendships she formed- many of which became lifelong.
On April 11, 1981, Gaye married the love of her life, Jimmie Price. Their 42 year marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership. They had two children, Les Raymond Stallings, and Laura Rose Price. Gaye and Jimmie built a beautiful life centered around family. Gaye’s greatest joy came from being a grandmother to her four grandsons, Parker, Pierce, Bennett, and Charlie. Her devotion to her family was fierce and unconditional, and her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by those she loved.
Gaye lived a life defined by love, generosity, and commitment to her family and friends. She was known for her remarkable kindness, her giving spirit, and her gentle strength. She gave of herself freely and never hesitated to love and support those around her. She found joy in the way she lived her life: spending time with her family, time shared with close friends, and creating lasting memories while traveling. She will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty and a heart that embraced everyone she met, and she will be missed beyond measure.
Gaye was preceded in death by her father, Frank Bennett, her mother, Shirley Bennett, her sister, Nancy Bennett Chaltas, her husband, Jimmie Price, and her son, Les Stallings. She is survived by her daughter, Laura (John) Flint, her four grandsons, Parker Stallings, Pierce Stallings, Bennett Flint, and Charlie Flint, her sister, Denise Price, and several dear cousins, nephews, and nieces.
