Leroy McKee's Obituary
On May 12, 2009, Leroy McKee was called home to join his Lord and Savior. He was born January 16, 1940 in Crowder, MS to John and Mary McKee. He was preceded in death by his father, John William McKee of Darling, MS and brother, James William McKee of Dallas, TX (Judy).Leroy attended Darling School, Marks High School and Chamberlain-Hunt Military Academy. He was a farmer and later a truck driver for many years before retiring in Memphis, TN. He was Baptist by faith and touched the lives of many through his kind, generous and selfless nature.He is survived by his mother, Mary Alma James McKee of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Mary Myrtes Wright (Rusty) of Darling, MS; two sons, Lee Roy McKee II (Christine) of Italy and John W. McKee of Maryville, TN; , one grand-daughter, Amanda Wright of Darling, MS, four sisters, Margaret Worley (H.E.) of New Market, AL, Madge Wooten (Ray) of Germantown, TN, Jimmie Perry (Ed) of Vicksburg, MS and Nancy McKee (Fred) of Tallahassee, FL, three brothers; Dennis McKee (Emma Jean) of Waynesboro, MS, John McKee (Brenda) of Tunica, MS and David McKee (Ruby) of Eads, TN and many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held Friday, May 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home Fireside Chapel. Burial will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Big Creek, MS.
