Leroy J. Flick's Obituary
Leroy Joseph Flick, 96, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 in a Memphis TN hospital. He was born August 12, 1918 to Leo Flick and Marie Dick Flick in Jasper Indiana. He is survived by his wife of almost 75 years; Margaret Lehmann Flick, of Bardstown KY; a son Dan Flick, of Memphis TN; two daughters, Patricia Japs of Fairborn OH, and Mary Ann Bell, ( David), of Batesville AR; six grandchildren, Lee (Stephanie), Greg and Lisa Japs, all of Fairborn, OH, Chris (Acker) of Little Rock, AR, Megan (Mar) Bouchareb of Austin, TX, and Danny (Debra) Bell of Batesville, AR and six great grandchildren, Kailey and Isabella Japs of Fairborn, OH, Penick and Sullivan Bell of Little Rock, AR, Rufus Bell of Batesville, AR and Luca Bouchareb of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren: Kevin and Christopher Japs of Fairborn, OH. Leroy was an Army veteran of WWII in India. He enjoyed a long and successful career as a salesman and district manager with H.J. Heinz Co. He was a dedicated member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a long time fan of University of Memphis basketball and a Rebounders Club Member, and an avid golfer and bridge player. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A private family memorial will be held in his honor.
