Leroy A. Chaille Jr.'s Obituary
Leroy Alvin Chaille, Jr. 85 of Memphis, TN, passed May 25, 2021. Mr. Chaille was born on September 26, 1935 in Memphis, TN to Leroy Alvin Chaille, Sr. and Agnes Hardin Chaille. He married Miss Sandra Cruise on June 23, 1990 in Memphis, TN.
A graduate of Treadwell High School, Mr. Chaille also attended Memphis State College. He was an U.S. Army Veteran and a civil service retiree from the Defense Depot Memphis. Mr. Chaille was a life member of the Memphis Bowling Association, Inc. and a member of American Legion Post 250. He was of the Catholic faith.
An avid UT fan, his hobbies included bowling, fishing and boating on Sardis lake, and coin collecting. He also loved helping his wife take care of many children in their home with Grandma Sandi's Babysitting.
His parents, wife, and his daughter, Susan McGehee, predeceased him.
Survivors include his daughter, Julia Romeo, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and many friends and neighbors who loved him dearly.
He was a loving and very generous man who will be missed.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. Bruce Cinquegrani officiating.
The following will serve as pallbearers, Rick Bowker, Rick DeZemplen, Ed Lyons, David Kreher, Jimmy Cruise, Johnny Cruise and Greg Vannucci.
