Leonard "Moe" Rodgers' Obituary
Leonard “Moe” Rodgers, 90, passed away November 3, 2014. He was born on December 2, 1923 to Leonard Rodgers and Dovie Rodgers. Moe was a lifelong Memphian. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. Mr. Rodgers retired from the Memphis Army Depot in 1973. Moe graduated from Treadwell High School. He was a car enthusiast and avid golfer. Moe was a member Merton Ave. Baptist Church and the Al Chymia Shrine Temple of Memphis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Carter Rodgers of 45 years. He was also proceeded in death by his parents and Earl Rodgers. He is survived by his sisters, Johnnie Rodgers Scott of Imboden AR, and Bette Rodgers Simek of Yoakum TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
