Lella Frances "Frankie" Bandy's Obituary
Lella Frances "Frankie" Bandy, of Cleveland, TN, and formerly of Bartlett, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on June 11, 2026, following a courageous battle with complications from breast cancer and chemotherapy.
Born on March 2, 1946, Frankie met the love of her life, John W. Bandy, while attending Kingsbury High School. They were married on June 7, 1969, and remained entirely inseparable for over 45 years. Together, they loved traveling to their vacation home in Arkansas and dedicated their Saturdays to searching for treasures at local yard sales. Frankie retired from MLG&W in 2002 after 35 years of dedicated service.
Her life changed drastically when her beloved husband passed away from Alzheimer's disease on July 20, 2014. However, a beautiful new chapter began soon after with the birth of her precious great-granddaughter, followed by two rambunctious great-grandsons. Affectionately known as "Nana," Frankie cherished every moment spent with them—reading stories, taking trips to Chick-fil-A, playing outside, and cuddling up together for movie nights.
Frankie was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Bandy, and her mother, Edwina Kidd.
She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory: her son, Mark D. Bandy; her granddaughter, Courtney Page (Christopher); her three adored great-grandchildren, Lizzie, Coy, and Peyton; her brother, Edwin Kidd (Sandra); and several dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, located at 5688 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. The funeral service will follow immediately at 2 PM. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery
Pallbearers: Rob Kidd, Tim Kidd, Mike Cooley, Evan Bartels, Rusty Harrison, and Bill Hines.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Frankie’s honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
