God took Daddy home just a few short days ago but his absence has made it seem like life time already. To lose your parents is so hard. They are our first encouragers, teachers, friends, heros. They lead and guide with the wisdom God gave, they protect with the hearts of lions, they inspire by the lives they live. Daddy showed us the value and reward of hard work. He taught us how to be supportive and loving, standing up for and caring for each other. He instilled in each of us a sense of respect and loyalty. He valued friends and he had many. He accomplished much in life but humbly recognized the love, sacrifices and support it took to accomplish his goals. He loved being able to help others through his medical practice or just lending a hand. But his greatest accomplishment was his family who loved him dearly. He often told me near the end that he learned how to be a parent by practicing on me since I was the first. But he never stopped working on that as each child came along. You taught us how to be good people that care about and for each other. We will continue that legacy of love and support because of those lessons we learned. We are never ready to lose our parents but now that we have we turn to our heavenly Father to sustain us till we see them again. I love you daddy and will always be grateful for all the time we had and the love you showered us with.
