Leigh Ann Young's Obituary
Leigh Ann Young, 44 of Collierville, Tennessee passed into God’s open arms on February 9, 2019, at her home in Collierville. Leigh Ann was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on October 6,1974; moved to Collierville with her parents in December 1979 and finished high School in 1993. She attended Southwest Community College and graduated from Memphis Technological School with a degree in Dental Assisting. She also earned a degree from Concorde Career College as an Esthetician.Leigh Ann worked in various jobs as a nanny, pharmaceutical assistant, a dental assistant at Collierville Dental Associates for her father and most recently as a computer graphic designer with emphasis on Photoshopping and designing Keynote presentations for her father’s lectures.Leigh Ann loved to travel and to experience different cultures. She had a keen eye for interior decorating with a unique sense of personal style. She loved animals, especially those who were neglected or abandoned. She loved her family; she was a giving person; she marched to the beat of her own drum. As a daughter, she was genuinely kind, loving, caring and a young lady possessing of a beautiful spirit. She will be deeply missed and will remain forever in our hearts.Leigh Ann is survived by her parents, Charles and Sylvia Young of Collierville, her brother, Chase Young of Collierville, Chase’s finance Morgan Betts, and her uncle, Ralph Young, of Knoxville, Tennessee, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.The family will receive friends at First Assembly Memphis 8650 Walnut Grove Rd. on Monday, February 18 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with the memorial service to follow immediately at 11:00 a.m.In lieu of flowers, Leigh Ann would love to see donations made to Street Dog Foundation Memphis, a volunteer nonprofit organization that recuses and rehabilitates abandoned dogs, or St. Jude Research Hospital.
