Leigh Myers' Obituary
Linda Leigh Myers, 62, passed away on July 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. A lifelong Memphian, Leigh was known for her warm heart and generous spirit.
Born to Don and Bettye Lopez, she was the eldest of three siblings, a role that she proudly accepted. Ever ambitious, Leigh graduated high school early and attended the University of Memphis. After graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration, she began her 40-year career in health insurance. While dedicated to her work, family remained her priority. Throughout the decades of their marriage, Leigh and her husband, Tim, embraced the joys and challenges of life, together. Undoubtedly, the greatest joys (and challenges) were her three children, on whom Leigh imparted her work ethic, kindness, and love of both Disney and Christmas. One of her proudest roles came later in life when she became “Lindie” to her grandchildren.
Leigh will be lovingly remembered by numerous co-workers, friends, aunts, and cousins, but she will be most deeply missed by Tim, her children, Ashley (Steven), Jacob (Lindsey), and Blake (Leslie), her grandchildren, Landon and Kayla, and her siblings, Teresa and Butch.
In keeping with Leigh’s strong Catholic faith, a full mass will be held on Monday, August 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3863 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119, will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Special Olympics of Greater Memphis. https://specialolympicsmem.kindful.com/?campaign=327739
