Lee R. Mueller's Obituary
Lee R. Mueller, 71, passed away on April 19, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, while in the care of Amedisys Hospice. Lee was born January 8, 1950, son to the late Roland and Vivian Mueller.
Mr. Mueller attended schools in Sheboygan, WI and graduated from Sheboygan South High in 1968. Lee worked at Riverdale Country Club pro shop during high school. Mr. Mueller joined the United States Coast Guard in November 1968, while in the Coast Guard he participated in the Presidential inauguration parade for Richard Nixon in Washington DC in 1969. He was also stationed in Leavenworth KS, Holland MI, Bayfield WI, Duluth MN and Keokuk IA. Lee also was on an ice breaker and helped search for the wreckage of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald which sank November 10, 1975.
Lee served his country for 20 years before retiring. He then went to work as a dispatcher, trafficking barges on the Mississippi River for Wepfer Marine, retiring in 2016 from this position.
He was united in marriage to Vicci December 14, 1984. He was survived by his daughter, Stephine. They would sing songs together. She was his pride and joy. He loved to give her a wink which melted her heart.
Lee is survived by his sisters, Marilyn (Larry) Senkbeil, Janis (Graham) McAllister, son in law Cris Patino, grandbabies Cristopher Jr. and Stella Rose. Nieces and nephews, Trina, Chad, Chris, Cory, Tricia, DJ, Gina, Jamie, Danielle, Amy, Caty and Casey. Stepdaughter Beth Coyle, step grandkids Jordyn and Caden of Tell City, IN, sister-in-law Jody Patterson, Jo (Tony) Bishop, brother-in-law Sam (Pat) Patterson and Cousin Mike (Kathy) Wagner.
Lee had a great sense of humor and like to pull lots of pranks, he loved his schnauzers, Max 2018, the most recent Buddy.
Lee is preceded in death by Roy and Ella Pieper (grandparents), Roland and Vivian Mueller (parents), Mary Rita Patterson (mother-in-law), Cody (nephew) and Mark Wagner (cousin).
The visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m., to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 4:30 p.m.
