Lee Jones' Obituary
Lee O. Jones, Jr., 73, of Sardis, MS formerly of Memphis, TN passed away September 10, 2014 in Oxford, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jones and survived by his stepdaughters, Terry Hensley (Brett) of Atoka, TN and Rena Jones of Southaven, MS; grandchildren Bryan Hensley, Kristin Hopper (Jason), and Ethan Hensley; great granddaughter, Madison Hopper and cousin Kenneth Jones. Mr. Jones was a retired Chief Petty Officer, U.S. Navy and retired from the Department of Defense. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, United States Submarine Veterans and a member of The Fleet Reserve Association. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 12 and the funeral service 1 p.m. Saturday, September 13 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
