Lee Brown Cochran's Obituary
Lee Brown Cochran, age 64, passed away Tuesday morning, October 11, 2022. Lee was a member of Shady Grove Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He leaves behind his parents, Ms. Patricia Cochran of Collierville, Tennessee, and Gene B. Cochran (Sandra) of Cordova, Tennessee; brothers, Brent Cochran (Angel Reffel) of Newton, Massachusetts, Van Cochran (Rhonda) of Rossville, Tennessee, and Carl Cochran of Arlington, Tennessee; and nephew, Anton Cochran (Chelsea) of Durham, North Carolina, and niece Kara Cochran (Chris Girouard) of Newport News, Virginia.
As a young man, he had been honored by Mayor Dick Hackett for his work in coordinating mental health causes in Memphis. He did all this while serving as a volunteer for the Red Cross and other important social services. He also served as President of the Tennessee Mental Health Consumer Association. He was known across Tennessee for his work in Nashville with the state’s Mental Health Consumer Group.
Services will be Friday October 14th at 11:00am with a visitation beginning at 10:00am at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5668 Poplar Ave Memphis, TN.
