Lee Burns' Obituary
Bryan Lee Burns, 53, passed away in Germantown, TN, on June 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Berry and Susie Burns and Lewis and Willie Morrow; a brother, Chris; and two uncles, Pete and Edgar Burns. He leaves behind his parents, Joe and Rosemary Burns, of Germantown; a sister Kathy Burns, of Cordova; and a brother, Joe Burns, Jr., of Horn Lake, MS. Lee was a loving, son, brother and friend to many. He was a life long member of the Church of Christ and was baptized by his maternal grandfather. He was employed at the Memphis Zoo and loved his work and had named many of the animals he so loved. He especially loved a penguin named “Betty White”. He was a competent golfer, a sports enthusiast, and an excellent cook. He will be missed by so many. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 21 and a service celebrating Bryan’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 22 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent the Memphis Zoological Society or the American Heart Association.
