Lawrence John Pleasants Sr., 83 passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2009. Lawrence was born on April 19, 1926, the son of Harry Thomas Pleasants Sr. and Frances Newman Pleasants.Lawrence served in the US Air Force during World War II. He retired from Baptist Hospitals as a Business Manager.He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles W. Pleasants and Raymond A. Pleasants, son Lawrence John Pleasants, Jr. and former wife, Amy Claire Pleasants. Lawrence is survived by daughters; Catherine Diane May and Amy Adams Nicholas of Bartlett, TN, son Glenn Thomas Pleasants (Jenifer) of Olive Branch, MS, grandchildren’ Claire Catherine May, Amy Elizabeth Adams and Sarah Melissa Adams, all of Bartlett, TN. He is also survived by his brothers, Harry Thomas Pleasants, Jr. and Robert J. Pleasants of Memphis.Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 3 -5 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 14 at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
