Laverne Mary Coletta's Obituary
Laverne Mary (Cavasino) Coletta passed away June 24, 2022. Born May 22, 1922 to Vincent and Jessie Cavasino in Bismarck N.D. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends. Laverne was instrumental in helping her husband Horest Coletta in establishing the well known Coletta’s Italian restaurant.
Throughout her life she enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and skiing at Steamboat Springs Colorado. One of her greatest joys was gathering the family around the table for one of the delicious meals she had prepared.
A world traveler, Laverne visited many countries including Italy, London, and Paris.
She is preceded in death by her husband Horest J. Coletta. She is survived by her three children, Vincent P. Coletta (Mary), Jerry S. Coletta (Diane) and Marilyn J, Coletta as well as 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
We thankfully acknowledge the assisted living care at The Village of Germantown.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 28th from 10 until 11 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Hickory Crest Dr with a Mass immediately following at 11:00. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave.
Memorial may be sent to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice.
