Laurence Karuth Johnson Sr.'s Obituary
Laurence Karuth Johnson, Sr. was born on February 26, 1939, to the late Albert Weiss and Mary Louise Johnson in Oakland Tennessee. He passed away on August 18, 2020 peacefully at Grace Nursing Home.
He graduated from Fayette Ware High School in Oakland Tennessee. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Laurence worked as a master boat technician for 45 years in Memphis, Tennessee. He was married to the late Inez Marie Butler in Oakland, Tennessee. They were married for 29 wonderful years.
He leaves behind a daughter, Linda A. Johnson; son, Laurence K Johnson, Jr.; and a God-daughter, Delissa Jordan; three sisters, Larue Graham and Jean Young of New York City and Juanita Curry of Ripley, Tennessee. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ulysess Johnson, Sr.
