Lauren Michelle Brown's Obituary
Lauren Michelle Brown, beloved sister of William Harrison Brown and beloved daughter of Claude W. Brown and Jo Ann Rayder Brown Okerson died instantly when the car she was riding in ran head on into a tree. The driver also died at the scene. The accident occurred on Quince Road in Memphis, Tennessee on Thursday, January 17, 2019.Please people, drive safely! You break so many hearts!An adventurous, spirited child/woman, she brought smiles and laughter with her funny faces and her “Elvis” lips smirk. Her bag was always packed for tripping to the beach, the mountains, the desert or the heart of old towns. Dogs, cats and children were drawn to her. Lauren had great empathy for those small critters and those with fragile hearts.Music and dancing gave her great joy. She was so proud of her fifteen-year trophy from Patricia Williams School of Dance.Her family of Browns, Okersons, Rayders, Hubbards, Mazzantis, Smiths and many more including her near family of Laycooks, McDanials, Koonces and Burkeens will forever mourn her Heaven journey too soon before us.In lieu of flowers, please remember Lauren with memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the “No Whispers” initiative at Christ Church, 4488 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 25th from 12pm until the Celebration of Life service beginning at 1pm at Christ Church.
