Larry Edwin Williams' Obituary
Larry Edwin Williams of Germantown, TN, went to be with the Lord on Easter Day, April 9, 2023. He was born and raised in Ashland, KY, where he attended Russell High School graduating in 1963. Upon his graduation, he attended Columbia Military Academy in Columbia, TN, for one year. Thereafter, he attended Memphis State University, in which he played football and was a letterman (The M Club). He was also a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity while in college. Larry served in the United States Army Reserves from 1969 - 1975. He spent most of his career working for Ashland Oil.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ola Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ginger. Together they had three children: Chris (Michelle), Missy (Ray) and Jeff (Tori). He very much adored his three grandchildren: Molly, Nate and Ramsey. Larry is also survived by his brother, Bill (Ceil), sister, Clyda and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Larry and Ginger have been parishioners at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church since 1984. Larry leaves behind many friends. Of note, are his Coffee Club friends at The Germantown Athletic Club, The Fishers of Men at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, his football teammates, and fraternity brothers.
A funeral service is scheduled on Tuesday, April 11, at 10 A.M. A reception will follow at Fr. Gresham Hall on the OLPH campus. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The University of Memphis M Club.
