Larry Arvin Wiles' Obituary
Larry Arvin Wiles, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2023, at his home in Millington, TN.
Larry was born on June 13, 1966, to Sarah Elizabeth Forrester in Kansas City, MO. At a young age his family moved to Henning TN where he attended and graduated from Ripley High School. Upon graduation in1984, Larry chose to attend the University of Memphis receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering.
In 1992 Larry met the love of his life Michelle Edenfield Wiles, and the two tied the knot in 1994.
In 2001, Larry & Michelle moved and lived in Millington, TN upon accepting a job with the Shelby County Sheriff’s office.
Larry was a hard, devoted worker and very particular about going above and beyond to get the job done. He never met a stranger and would help anyone. He loved his neighbors and on almost any given day you could find him helping those in need from cutting wood to mowing grass he was always there. Larry had no problem giving a stranger a ride or handing out a few bucks to help someone out. He never passed by someone broken down or walking on the side of the road, he would not hesitate to stop and lend them a hand or take them wherever they needed to go. On the flip side he was a bit stubborn you could never tell him no or it was impossible because he would make it his goal, to prove you wrong.
Larry is survived by his wife, Michelle Wiles, and his sister Lynn Wiles both of Millington, TN, sister and brother in-law along with a niece, and great nephew. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Elizabeth Forrester of Ripley TN, his Aunt Mary Forrester of Bartlett, TN, mother-in-law Barbara Edenfield and father-in-law Daniel Edenfield of Halls, TN.
