Larry Martin Robertson's Obituary
Larry Martin Robertson of Cordova, TN stepped into Heaven on July 15, 2024. He was born in Memphis, TN on July 31, 1945. He attended Germantown (TN) High School where he excelled in Football, Basketball and Baseball. He then graduated from The University of Memphis with a Degree in Construction Management.
Larry began his career in Commercial Construction, spanning 56 years, with Clark & Clark before forming Martin, Cole, Dando and Robertson where he was a Principal for nearly 2 decades. Afterwards, he was President of Robertson Construction and an Owner in Inman Construction and Dyson Construction, before working at Standard Builders. He was highly respected in the industry and left his fingerprints on hundreds of projects in the Southeast.
Larry enjoyed many activities throughout his life, including Drag Racing, Baseball, Softball, Golf and Fishing, especially with his Grandson. He also liked to travel with his family to destinations such as the Emerald Coast of Florida. But, his real passion was his love for Christ. He was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church where he loved serving the Lord and sharing the Gospel with others. He also had the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors for John Bramlett Ministries.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Joy L. Robertson of Cordova, TN, son Scott M. Robertson and his wife Melanie C. Robertson of Rossville, TN, and grandson Avery M. Robertson of Rossville, TN. He was preceded in death by his mother Frances Robertson, father William Carroll Robertson and brothers Kenneth and Carroll Robertson.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held in the Sanctuary of Collierville First Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Noon, with family members welcoming Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
