Larry Edward Cox's Obituary
Larry Edward Cox, 60, passed away April 2, 2014. He was born on August 11, 1953 in Birmingham, AL to Verna Mae and Oscar Lawrence Cox. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Reida Todd Cox; daughter, Tracey Cox Wilkins; son, Jonathan Todd Cox (Jessica); grandchildren, Emma Grace Wilkins, Thomas Baylor Cox, and Brewer Todd Cox; sister, Jackie Loggins and Brenda McKinney; and brother Wayne Cox. Mr. Cox was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, who was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He was employed by Express Oil Change for 23 years. He had a great sense of humor and an outgoing personality. Mr. Cox was a God-fearing man with a strong Christian faith. He was a dedicated member of Trinity Baptist Church, Cordova, TN. He loved to help others and volunteer two days each week with the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA). Mr. Cox was to have received the Volunteer of the Year award on Saturday. The family will receive friends 1:30-2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 6 at First Baptist Church, Trussville, AL. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sulfur Springs Cemetery, Trussville, AL.
