She was a valuable member of the grant writing team and an expert in grants account management. In 1999, Governor Don Sundquist presented Lana with the Governor’s Trophy for Citizen of the Year with a Disability. In 1996, Lana received the Mid-South ARC Employee of the Year Award. Throughout her years of service, Lana made frequent trips to Washington D. C. and to Nashville in her role as career professional and advocate for persons with disabilities.
