LaForie Harris Montgomery's Obituary
LaForie Harris Montgomery 97, of Munford Tennessee passed away on April 23, 2022. She was born to the late Arch B. Harris and Sarah Ellen Bamberg on July 6, 1924 in Memphis, Tennessee. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, W. Fred Montgomery; a son, Frederick B. Montgomery; and a brother, Wilburn Holmes Harris.
LaForie is survived by her children, Steven Arch "Steve", and Andrew Harris "Andy"; two grandchildren, Jayson Christopher Montgomery and Andrea Thom Montgomery, and one great grandchild, Roman Alexander Montgomery.
LaForie was an incredibly caring and giving person, who devoted her life to her family. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager and lived out her salvation for all to see.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, followed by services to celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee, with a small family gathering afterwards in the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Missionary Fund in care of First Baptist Church of Atoka, 102 Kimbrough Avenue, Atoka, Tennessee 38004.
