L. Wayne Patton's Obituary
Mr. L. Wayne Patton, Memphis, TN., died April 17, 2011 in Germantown, TN. He was born on October 18, 1911 in Lafayette Springs, MS and grew up in Pontotoc, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marjorie Fowlkes Patton (originally of Dyersburg, TN). He is survived by his son, Kenneth W. Patton and daughter-in-law Wanda (Grace) Patton, of Germantown, TN, his sister, Marie Plantz, Tempe, AZ and grandsons, Conley W. Patton of New York, NY and Bradley J. Patton of Houston, TX. Mr. Patton worked for the Kroger Co. and retired as a salesman for Tetley Tea Co. He was also a veteran of the US Army in World War II. He was an elder of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he was a member for some 61 years. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the church at 8161 Germantown Rd, Olive Branch, MS. 38654.
