L. Hall Jones' Obituary
L. Hall Jones, Jr., 83, died December 1, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jones, president of a real estate development company, was a graduate of Central High School and Princeton University. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the 11th Airborne Division. He was President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Memphis, President of the American Cancer Society (Memphis), Chairman of the Kidney Foundation (Western Tennessee), and President of the 100 Club of Memphis. He leaves his wife, Pamela Kaye Jones; two sons, Hall Jones, III (Angel) and Shaw Jones (Heather); two daughters, Megan Bullard (Clif) and Patricia Turner (Nathan); five granddaughters, Morgan, Madison, Martha Eppes, Amelia, and Sarah and one grandson, Win. He also leaves his three bulldog puppies, Daisy, Lola, and Steve. He was preceded by his beloved bulldog, Blue. From an American Folk Song. “I had me a dog and her name was Blue, Betcha $5 she’s a good dog, too. Yay, Blue, you good dog you. There’s only one thing that troubles my mind; Blue went to heaven and left me behind. Yay, Blue, I’m comin’ too.” The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the memorial service begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 4 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
