Kristie Lynn Campbell Hurlow, 77, of Katy, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on January 8, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, Kristie was the daughter of Fred Earl Campbell and Marguerite Christine Campbell. She was known for her kindness, gentle spirit, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met. Whether caring for family, supporting friends, or helping those in need, Kristie had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
Kristie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Earl Campbell and Marguerite Christine Campbell, and her older sister, Anita Campbell.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, James Edward Hurlow; her daughters, Rachael Christine Hurlow Green and husband, Doug Green, and Marguerite June Hurlow Frisco; her granddaughters, Katie Lynn Green, Aubrey June Frisco, Tessa Green Lombardo, and Marissa Green Jarvis; her cherished great granddaughter, Violet Grace Jarvis; her twin sister, Kathie Ellaine Campbell Brewer; brother in law, Gary Brewer Sr.; nephew, Gary Brewer Jr.; niece, Gretchen Brewer Sechler; their families; and the extended family she lovingly embraced, including Shawn Black, his wife, and their five children.
Kristie and Kathie shared a bond that only twins can truly understand. From the day they were born, they walked through life side by side, sharing laughter, memories, and a lifetime of sisterly love. Their connection remained one of the greatest blessings of Kristie’s life and brought her immeasurable joy and comfort.
Throughout her working years, Kristie was known for her professionalism, dedication, and strong work ethic. She spent many years as an executive secretary and later worked in sales and support at Bosworth Papers. Whether helping customers, supporting colleagues, or solving problems, she approached her work with the same kindness, patience, and dependability that defined every aspect of her life.
Beyond her career, she embraced life with curiosity and creativity. In her younger years, she loved horses and horseback riding. She enjoyed target shooting, painting, drawing, and other artistic pursuits that reflected her creative spirit. She also generously gave her time to volunteer and support elderly individuals in her community, always looking for ways to brighten someone’s day.
A woman of Christian faith, Kristie attended Baptist churches throughout her life and found strength, comfort, and hope in her relationship with God.
If there is one thing those who knew Kristie will remember, it is her kindness. She had a way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and important. Her gentle nature and thoughtful heart touched countless lives and will never be forgotten.
While her family grieves her loss, they rejoice in the promise of eternal life and take comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. The love she shared, the lives she touched, and the example she set will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
